COCJAMAICA invite all registered users living in Jamaica to write a 1500 word essay on the topic:

“Can there be a ‘Christian swag’? Discuss.”

Rules

• This is an open competition for all cocjamaica registered users living in Jamaica.
• Essays should be max. 1,500 words.
• Essays must be submitted in English
• Each contestant may submit only one essay.
• The final date of Submission is March 23, 2012. Extended April 01, 2012
• Essays will published anonymously on March 26, 2012 for public likes. Revised April 02, 2012
• Winners announcement April 09, 2012 (Easter Monday Lectureship).

Scoring

A Panel of three Judges will score the essays based on the following system:

• Understanding of the topic = 0 – 20 points
• Effectiveness of style and organization of essay = 0 – 10 points
• Originality in approach and treatment of the topic = 0 – 20 points
• Doctrinal Soundness & appropriate use of scripture = 0 – 20 points
• Adherence to format and length rules = 0 – 5 points
• Entry with the most online ‘likes’ 11:59PM April 06, 2012 gets a bonus 20 points
