St Andrew congregation calls for a Day of Prayer

Kingston, Jamaica |

October 15, 2014

Dear Brethren:

Our beautiful land??of??Jamaica is in crisis and needs healing. The Chik-V virus is wreaking havoc and the threat??of??Ebola looms over our heads.

The Bible tells us in 2 Chronicles 7 verse 14….”When my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and??pray, I will hear from Heaven and heal their land“.

We are proposing??Sunday, October 26, as a??National??Day??of??Prayer??among all the churches??of??Christ in Jamaica.????At our morning worship service on that??day, we are asking that a moment be set aside when all congregations??pray??to God specifically about the following matters.

  • Giving thanks for His Providence and assurance that His promises never fail
  • Control over the scourge??of??the Chik-V virus
  • Preventing the Ebola from coming to our shores
  • Giving guidance to those who govern our land

Please let us know if you will be able to participate in this effort.

Thanks and may God continue to bless you richly.

Yours in Christ,

Alphonso Grennell

St. Andrew CoC
